Description:
If your game cartridge is not booting and you have already cleaned the contacts with Isopropyl alcohol, then changing the power capacitor is another option to try and revive the cartridge back to life.
A single capacitor is found in variants of Sega Mega drive and Genesis cartridge game PCB, and over time any capacitor can begin to fail and perform poorly, swapping this capacitor for a new replacement can fix games which are not booting, and it can also be used as a preventative measure for the future, refurbishing the game before it fails later.
We only supply big brand aluminum electrolytic capacitors sourced from official distributors for our capacitor kits, we do not supply generic or Chinese brand capacitors.
