This really cool device was designed by Sebastian Staacks and allows you to capture or stream Game Boy gameplay footage via USB-C without modifying the Game Boy.

The Cart has a 3D printed shell redesigned by myself from the original design to have better access to the Power switch on the DMG as well as adding a contoured edge stop which places the cart in the correct position for the Locking Lever when the power switch is turned on.

There is also an additional external button (smaller button) for programming or updating the firmware.

The cart works on the following handheld game systems:

Game Boy (Original / DMG)
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Pocket (using latest firmware which is installed on the board)
Game Boy Advance
Game Boy Advance SP
Super Game Boy

Simply plug the Interceptor into your Game Boy and the Game into the Interceptor. Connect the Interceptor to your computer before turning on the Game Boy.

It should show up as a webcam in any software that supports USB Video devices (for example OBS Studio). Note that some software is not entirely happy with the exotic format, but it should work in most cases (see Host software compatibility).

Then just turn on the Game Boy and play.

Note that you do not need to open the video stream first. The only important step is that the Interceptor is powered via USB before the Game Boy is turned on.
