If your PlayStation 2 has become very loud, or your console is overheating then a possible culprit could be the internal cooling fan.

This replacement cooling fan will fit Sony PS2 Slim models SCPH-7000X, 7500X & 7900X

The part will fit any region of the above model, and the X shown is a variable digit which indicates the consoles region  e.g. SCPH-70003, where the 3 at the end means the console was made for the UK market, this is not important, your model needs to be 7000, 7500 or 7900, ignore the last digit which has been indicated with an X.

You will need to take apart the console to install this part, this will require some electronics experience with many screws and cables to remove in order to get to the fan and replace it, please seek professional help if you are not confident in fitting the part.
